As some of you already are aware of, I have a serious obsession with books. Unfortunately, I don’t win a prize for this though it would be awesome! My book obsession is clearly of the physical kind. In this I mean I am OBSESSED for an incredible hard or paperback copy. *sexual innuendo*
None of this digital shit… reason why I blog on the internet, correct?
Anywho, as I just purchased 2 new books at Changing Hands bookstore in Tempe, AZ at the Felicia Day book signing, which doesn’t include me receiving her book as well totaling 3, I am now on my way BACK to Changing Hands to purchase another. This book I noticed and couldn’t stop obsessing over for the last two days because it sounded so interesting and it was written by Chris Colfer, Kurt from Glee, so who wouldn’t like that?
I seriously have a problem… yet the excitement I feel as I am driving, thinking of how the bookstore smells, looks, and the feeling I get when I discover a new friend for life is the most elating feeling I could ever experience. It even brings memories from my past of being a child when my mother would drop my brother and me off at the library and tell us not to leave while she went shopping across the way. I read chapter books in grades I shouldn’t have been able to. I recall teachers telling me I had to lower the choices of books to match my “reading level” and then they realized I was not at the reading level of the other children.
Needless to say, I love my addiction and I do NOT want an intervention.
